Our Story
Plants of Palmwoods is a wholesale nursery located in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. We have been established since 2002 and are a member of the Nursery and Garden Industry of Queensland (NGIQ).
We stock a range of different plant species in our nursery including palms, native Australian species, tropicals, foliage and ornamental plants.
Our mission at Plants of Palmwoods is to provide the best possible friendly service to our valuable customers by sharing our knowledge and providing quality hardy plants at realistic prices.
We aim to provide a safe, friendly and rewarding work environment for our staff with a focus on ongoing learning and personal development.
We are dedicated to ongoing professionalism and upholding the ethical and environmental standards of the Australian Nursery Industry.

OUR OWNER
Owner-Manager Tom Thurecht
Tom Thurecht - Is the owner and general manager
Tom has a Certificate III in Horticulture and many years experience running our and in Horticulture. He is very handy around the nursery and can turn his hand to just about anything,
Tom unhappy with his previous career in the transport industry, went back to school to become a horticulturalist, working with Sally to create the nursery you see today.
Having a ready smile and easy going personality you will find Tom working and managing the nursery most days.
OUR STAFF
Colleen
Colleen has been with Plants of Palmwoods team for 5 years, She has completed her Certicate III in Horticulture during that time. Colleen has been a rare find and has taken to all aspects of the nursery like a duck to water. She has been gifted with a very green thumbs and is an awesome asset to our business.It is great to have Colleen on board and her ability to give 110% will ensure we will continue to grow the highest in quality plants.
Karli
Karli has worked as part of the potting up team she has been working for our nursery since 2012 she has now moved to part of the sales team and makes a enthusiastic and knowledgeable sales person. Karli loves to work outdoors and has completed a Certificate III in Horticulture in Parks and Gardens
